Frequently asked questions

Detailed guide to matching, monitoring, reminders, connections, and subscriptions.

How does grant-to-profile matching work?

The platform combines your keywords, scientific focus, geographies, applicant type, and signals from research connections. Each call includes an adequacy rationale for faster decisions.

Are deadlines always reliable?

Deadlines are continuously re-checked across monitored sources. If a date is estimated, that state is clearly labeled. Final submission planning should always validate against the official source page.

How does institution/website monitoring work?

You can configure institution name, URL, keywords, and checking frequency in hours. Grant Radar tracks new calls, deadline extensions, and key updates, then notifies your selected channels.

Which delivery channels are available?

Email, WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, and Microsoft Teams. Channel-specific input fields appear only when the channel is selected.

How do reminders work in My Calls?

You can pin calls you plan to apply to and set multiple deadline reminders (for example 14 days, 1 month, 2 months, custom days, and cyclic reminders).

What is the difference between Individual and Group subscriptions?

Individual covers one user. Group allows up to 9 invited users while the subscription is active, with seat-reuse rules after revocation.

Do profile connections (ORCID, LinkedIn, etc.) auto-fill my setup?

Yes. After authorization, available profile signals are used to suggest dashboard keywords, geographies, and search focus.

How much does Grant Radar cost?

€19/month Pro per individual, €49/month Group up to 10 seats, €190/year Pro and €490/year Group when billed annually. Free during the public beta.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — 14 days free on Pro features, with all delivery channels and the full matching engine across every monitored source. The trial auto-expires to read-only; no charge unless you upgrade.

How many funders does Grant Radar cover?

24+ public-funder national agencies and EU instruments — ERC, MSCA via the EU Funding & Tenders Portal, Horizon Europe, NIH, NSF, UKRI, Wellcome, DFG, ANR, AEI, NWO, RCN, FWF, AKA, JST, NRF (SG/ZA/KR), NSERC, CIHR, FAPESP, CNPq, ANID, Humboldt, Nuffield, and more. New connectors ship weekly.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes. Cancellation is self-service in the customer portal. Access continues to the end of the paid period; no further charges after that.

How does Grant Radar handle my data?

GDPR-compliant, EU-hosted (Fly.io CDG region). No third-party cookie tracking; analytics are first-party with daily-rotated visitor hashes. ORCID OAuth scopes are read-only. Data is never sold or shared with third parties.

What happens if a funder I rely on isn't covered?

Email a request to support and we will prioritise adding it. Most funders with a public RSS or open data are added within 1–2 weeks; bespoke scrapers take longer.

Does Grant Radar work for researchers outside Europe?

Yes. Coverage is strongest in Europe but increasingly broad in North America (NIH, NSF, NSERC, CIHR), Latin America (FAPESP, CNPq, ANID), Asia (JSPS, JST, NRF Singapore, DST India), Africa (NRF South Africa), and Oceania (ARC, NHMRC).

Can my whole lab share one Group plan?

Yes. The Group plan covers up to 10 seats, each with their own ORCID-driven profile and matched calls. Pricing is €49/month for the team — about €4.90 per researcher.
